ZTE-South East Asia Telecom to bring 4G LTE to Cambodia

NEW DELHI: Chinese multinational telecom equipment company ZTE Corporation has announced a partnership with South East Asia Telecom (SEATEL) to build a national FDD-LTE network in Cambodia in order to deliver high-performance mobile broadband services to consumers and businesses across the country.

The company is the exclusive provider of end-to-end 4G solutions and products, including core network Evolved Packet Core (EPC), microwave, power, Internet Protocol Radio Access Network (IPRAN), bearer and Online Charging System (OCS).

ZTE will also provide its industry-leading network coordination products Cloud UniCore and Cloud Radio, helping South East Asia Telecom realize flexible networking, resources sharing, intelligent O&M functions to build a superior and cost-efficient 4G network, a release said,

Cloud UniCore-based 4G core network EPC improves the resource utilization ratio to 30% by self-adaptive resource scheduling. Additionally, the intelligent overload control helps to protect network attacks effectively.

The national LTE network infrastructure in Cambodia is a key step for the international expansion of South East Asia Telecom, which is planning to build LTE network in other countries..

The partnership with SEATEL adds to more than 185 LTE/EPC commercial contracts that ZTE have won as of 2015 Q2. ZTE has entered into nearly 70% countries that have invested in LTE networks.
