With over 2.9 million customers, Airtel extends 5G coverage to all of Andhra Pradesh's districts

On Thursday, October 26, Bharti Airtel said that it has over 2.9 million unique 5G consumers in Andhra Pradesh after launching Airtel 5G Plus services a year ago. In addition, the business declared that, within a year of its inception, the Airtel 5G Plus service is accessible in all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Regarding Andhra Pradesh in particular, Airtel said that it has greatly expanded its network, enabling its services to be accessed in all of the state's districts.

Airtel stated that it is continuing to quickly develop its 5G rollout, citing locations such as the Eastern Ghats in the Araku valley, the isolated town of Lambasingi, Vijayawada, the coastal sanctuary of Visakhapatnam, and the ancient city of Amaravati. Moreover, Airtel stated that it has established a 5G digital superhighway link with the renowned Kondaveedu.

"We were the first telco to deploy high-speed 5G technology in the state, and today we are delighted to be playing an important role in connecting our customers' lives," Bharti Airtel said in a statement regarding the milestone. "We appreciate all 2.9 million of our consumers using the Airtel 5G Plus network. With our unmatched growth in 5G customers, we are still setting the industry standard by putting the needs of our clients and state-of-the-art 5G technology first. Our 5G network, which spans all 26 districts, provides the largest, fastest, and most reliable coverage in the state," Airtel added.

Last Week Bharti Airtel revealed that Telangana is home to more than 3 million distinct 5G users. Airtel also disclosed that, barely a year after its initial introduction, its Airtel 5G Plus service is now accessible in all of the state’s districts.

Bharti Airtel had also, announced in May that it has surpassed the 2 million unique 5G user mark on its network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Airtel was the first to roll-out 5G in the country and Hyderabad was one of the first eight cities to get ultrafast Airtel 5G Plus.

In another important development, Bharti Airtel yesterday announced that it had over 1.7 million unique 5G consumers on its network in the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. In addition, Airtel declared that within a year of its inception, the Airtel 5G Plus service is now available in every district in the states in the Northeast. By doing this, Airtel has expanded its 5G coverage to 110 North East districts.
