BENGALURU: With the commencement of one of the biggest pilgrimage seasons in South India, the annual Mandala Pooja Mahotsavam at Sabarimala, Vodafone India has decided to set up an All-in-One outlet at Pamba, the base point where Ayyappa pilgrims converge on their way to the holy shrine. The Vodafone outlet at Pamba was inaugurated by R. Girija, District Collector, Patanamthitta, earlier this week. The Vodafone outlet at Pamba will remain functional from November 21, 2016 to the end of Makara Vilakku season, i.e. January 14, 2017.

Sabarimala witnesses one of the biggest congregations of pilgrims in the world, with an estimated 45–50 million devotees visiting the shrine each year during the Mandalam season. For the convenience of Ayyappa devotees, Vodafone established the outlet at Pamba to serve the needs of Vodafone subscribers, and also facilitate recharges for customers of other telecom service providers, through the Vodafone M-Pesa service. In addition to prepaid recharges facilities, the outlet is equipped to provide a variety of services such as M-Pesa, Money transfer, DTH – recharges and postpaid bill payments.
