Vodafone invests Rs 450 crore in Rajasthan, Bihar

NEW DELHI: Telecom firm Vodafone India has invested over Rs 450 crore last fiscal for strengthening its network, retail distribution in Rajasthan and Bihar circles.

Pursuing an aggressive retail growth strategy in Rajasthan, Vodafone has already launched 10 Vodafone Stores (VS) and 50 Vodafone Mini Stores (VMS) in the last 12 months. Today with over 670 stores, Vodafone has consolidated its position as the largest exclusive retail footprint in Rajasthan.

Out of the Rs 450 crore, it invested over Rs 250 crore on ramping up network and distribution in Bihar and Jharkhand circle.”

Additionally, Vodafone has over the years expanded its network reach to cover 90% population of Rajasthan and will continue to take requisite steps to further enhance its distribution and reach.

Continuing its retail expansion strategy across India, Vodafone has launched more than 160 Vodafone Stores and over 1,000 Vodafone mini stores across India in FY14-15. Today, with over 9,800 stores, Vodafone has the largest exclusive retail footprint in telecom in the country.
