Vodafone Idea on Friday named Poonam Bhat as its Consumer Digital Delivery Lead.

Poonam Bhat the New Consumer Digital Delivery Lead at Vodafone Idea

The telco said that Bhat held the position of Lead IT Manager at Hindustan Unilever Limited, before joining Vodafone Idea. The telco reported the appointment on LinkedIn, via a post.

The statement read, "Poonam has joined Vodafone Idea Limited as Executive Vice President  - Digital. She is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Digital Strategy and Transformation, Product Management, Technology Solutions, and Delivery of Global IT Programs".

Recently, India's third largest telco has hired quite a few top level talents. The telco recently appointed Sheena Joseph as the vice president of customer service of enterprise business. The telco aimed further strengthen its enterprise focus in the country with her appointment. Shortly before Joseph, the telco had appointed Alok Srivastava to lead the enterprise business for North and East circles.

Also, Shabnam Syed has recently joined the telco as Executive Vice President of postpaid marketing. What's more, Vi also appointed Reema Jain as the Chief Digital Officer. Tanuja Rai Pradhan had also joined Vodafone Idea as Head - Consumer Insights.

Last month, the telco appointed Sanjay Jolly as Executive Vice President – Technology, Hub Operations.

The telco's quarterly revenue slid to ₹9,607.6 crore from ₹10,894.1 crore in the last quarter. Also, its consolidated annual income fell by nearly 8% to ₹42,126.4 crore from ₹45,996.8 crore a year ago, according to Q4 results. The telco's total loss increased to nearly ₹7,000 crore. Recently, the telco has also written to the telecom department, seeking a moratorium for spectrum dues.

The quarterly results came when the telco had been struggling for a while, however, it has recorded a positive last quarter in terms of net subscribers added. The telco managed to add subscribers for two months in a row, after 15 months of subscriber loss.
