NEW DELHI: India's new telecom minister Manoj Sinha said that the next round of spectrum auction for telecom operators will be start by end of September this year.
“In new responsibility my top priority is resolving call drop. I expect there will be qualitative improvement in 4-5 months,” said Sinha on his social media account today.
“We are also going to auction spectrum soon... hopefully by the end of September, which will help in addressing call drop problem,” he added.
"The total reserve price of spectrum auction is estimated to be around Rs 5.66 lakh crore. We will hold it in a transparent manner," said Sinha.
Last month, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet has cleared the way for mega auction of spectrum in which airwaves worth Rs 5.66 lakh crore will be put for sale in country.
