Sony launches Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium in India

NEW DELHI: Sony has added two new devices to its portfolio in India with the launch of Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium priced at Rs 52,990 and Rs 62,990 respectively.

While the Z5 Premium has a 5.5 inch display, the Z5 offers a 5 inch screen and the Z5 Compact has a 4.6 inch display. The smartphones have 23 megapixel sensor with Sony's 1/2.3 Exmor RS and F2.0 G Lens. The phones also feature Sony's SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode and come with 5 megapixel front camera with Sony sensor and 25mm wide lens.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a 64 bit Snapdragon 810 octa core processor that runs this Android 5.1 Lollipop based smartphone with the help of 3 GB RAM. It has 32 GB internal storage and an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 200 GB. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has dual SIM slot and is backed up by a 3430 mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia Z5 has 3 GB RAM, 32 GB inbuilt storage, 200 GB micro SD card slot, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, and a 64 bit Snapdragon 810 octa core processor. The Sony Xperia Z5 offers a 5.2 inch full HD Triluminous display and comes with a 2900 mAh battery that claims to offer 2 days of battery back up. The handset measures 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm) weighs 154 grams.

Both the phones have DLNA, Bluetooth 4.1, MHL 3.0 port, NFC, WiFi, and AGPS as connectivity options.
