Sony launches its mid-range smartphone Xperia M4 Aqua

NEW DELHI: Sony India has unveiled Xperia M4 Aqua, a smartphone that is waterproof and protects against water, dust particles, priced at Rs 24,9990.

Xperia M4 Aqua, which is already available in the market from today, represents Sony’s renewed mid-range focus with no compromises. Offering the most popular standout features made famous by Sony’s Xperia Z Series; camera capability, two-day battery life and waterproofing, a release said.

The phone, designed with android 5.0 Lollipop, has a 13MP rear camera and is powered by Sony’s Exmor RS mobile sensor with a large F2.0 aperture, and ISO 3200 sensitivity.

The 5MP selfie camera comes with a wide-angle lens with an 88° field of view. The selfie editing feature sits alongside Sony’s full suite of preloaded Xperia Camera apps, including Sound Photo for adding a short clips to pictures and Movie Creator, which automatically converts pictures and videos into a thirty second vignette clips.

Xperia M4 Aqua will come with the new look Xperia Lounge, bringing apps, software updates, entertainment, bespoke offers and tips delivered throughout the product lifecycle.

It is powered with a Qualcomm SnapdragonTM615 processor featuring octa-core 64-bit CPUs, advanced multimedia processing and an integrated 4G LTE modem.
