This is a plan that Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) conceived to shake up the e-commerce industry in India. The business picture already looks big. RIL's JioMart is launched with a tall aim to offer over 50,000 grocery products through free doorstep delivery with no minimum order value. Sources say that Reliance Retail will take control of the operations and has begun the process of taking pre-registrations.

This new online grocery platform was launched on December 31, 2019. Initially, the delivery will be available to customers in Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Kalyan areas of Mumbai.

With the launch of JioMart, RIL intends to link producers, traders, small merchants, and others through mobile technology.
