Reliance Jio Launches a New Yearly Plan with 3GB/Day Data for Users

On Monday, Reliance Jio launched a new annual plan of ₹3,499. This plan will include extended benefits for Jio users, including a daily FUP limit of 3 GB/day.

Reliance Jio's ₹3499 Annual Plan

As mentioned, the plan gives users 3GB daily data for 365 days. That means, a user will get a total of 1,095 GB data per year. As per all other Jio prepaid plans, the speed with drop to 64 kbps once a user exhausts their FUP limit.

Incidentally, no other telco offers an annual plan with 3GB/day of FUP limit. The ones that do offer the said FUP limit, do not have such extended validity. Plans from Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and even Reliance Jio itself come in 28, 56 or 84 days validity.

Users will also get unlimited voice and 100 SMS per day with this new plan, worth ₹3499. Moreover, the users will get access to Jio Platforms apps suite such as JioTV, JioCinema, JioCloud, JioSecurity and JioNews.

This plan has the distinction of being Jio's most expensive plan to date.

Other Annual Plans from TSPs

Other TSPs, such as Airtel and Vi, also offer annual plans to their uses.

Airtel's 365 day prepaid plan costs ₹2,498 and offers 2GB/Day FUP limit with the same voice and SMS benefits as Jio's plan. Also, Airtel bundles in Airtel Xstream Premium, Apollo 24|7 Circle, free Hellotunes, a free Wynk Music subscription and ₹100 cashback on FASTag with the plan.

Vi, on the other hand, offers an annual plan at ₹2,595. The telco offers its users 1.5GB/Day FUP limit, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. More importantly, the telco bundles in a one-year VIP subscription of Disney+Hotstar, something which no other telco offers. Along with these benefits, Vi users can use unlimited night data from 12AM to 6AM without any deduction in the pack. Also, the users have the option to use the data left in weekdays on weekends as part of Vi's Weekend Data Rollover.
