NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker OPPO has launched its low-budget smartphone Neo 5 in the Indian market at Rs 9,990.
The smartphone is aimed at the mid-range mobile market and offers a dual SIM card featuring a 2000mAh unremovable Li-Polymer Battery with 180 hours of standby time.
It offers a 1.3GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM. Neo 5 sports 4.5 inch IPS display with 480X854 pixels. This smartphone runs on color OS 2.0.1i based on Android 4.4 powered by MediaTek MT6582. The device weighs 135gm and has 219 PPI. It has 8GB ROM which is expandable upto 32GB.
The OPPO Neo 5 features an 8 megapixel rear with Sony IMX179 Backside Illuminated (BSI) sensor, with a sensor size of 1/3.2 inches and a pixel size of 1.4µm, as well as a large F/2.2 large aperture, 5P lens. OPPO Neo 5 has the front camera of 2MP, the golden shooting angle design, and Beautify function to enhance the pictures.
OPPO said that the Neso 5’s Camera firmware alone could make it stand out from other handsets in similar prices range. The smartphone integrates a 2-megapixel, front-facing camera with F 2.8 front aperture.
OPPO Neo 5 also incorporates Pure Image Engine, which according to OPPO is the brain of the camera; it utilizes new PI 2.0+ technology and provides an intuitive pick-up and play format for users to turn their photos from ideas to reality. The unique PI 2.0+ technology brings many interesting camera features to the OPPO Neo 5.
