Their expertise ranges from Telecom & IT Consulting to BSS /OSS, to Network Technology Solutions & Services, to Design & Engineering, Next Generation SDN Networks, and Mobility Solutions.

Tech Mahindra's ONF involvement dovetails with the recently introduced operators' strategic plan to drive open source into production. Operators, including AT&T, China Unicom, China Telecom, Comcast, Deutsche Telekom, Google, NTT, Telefonica, and Turk Telekom are collaborating with vendors who can provide all the components and skills necessary to help them build next-generation network infrastructure.

“Tech Mahindra is a globally recognized innovator in both telecom and enterprise technologies and brings with it a wealth of programming, network optimization, and carrier-focused network design expertise areas that fit tightly with the mission of the ONF to deliver next-generation SDN,” said Guru Parulkar, Executive Director for the Open Networking Foundation.

"The ONF's growing ecosystem of members is a testament to the industry momentum around disaggregating and virtualizing the network," said Andre Fuetsch, President and Chair of the ONF Board, and Chief Technology Officer and President, AT&T Labs. "Tech Mahindra's deep history and experience in this space is greatly welcomed, and will only help to accelerate this drive to open networks."

"Tech Mahindra, as part of its TechMNxt charter, is betting big on Network of the Future, including 5G, to unlock new connected experience for different industry verticals. Open innovation is going to play a strategic role in shaping the Network of the Future and 5G. Our collaboration with ONF is a key step towards scaling open innovation and to enable communication service providers (CSPs) to curate, deploy and manage Network of the Future," said Manish Vyas, President CME and CEO Network Services, Tech Mahindra.
