NTT Data to acquire Dell Services for $3.05 billion

NEW DELHI: United States-based Dell Inc  has agreed to sell its IT services arm to NTT Data, a unit of Japanese telecom operator NTT, for USD 3.05 billion.

"NTT Data, a unit of Japanese telecom operator NTT and Dell have entered into a definitive agreement for NTT DATA to acquire Dell Services, an IT services provider recognized for its depth in vertical industries and for its offerings around infrastructure services, cloud services, application services, and business process outsourcing. The agreement reflects NTT DATA’s continued focus on expanding its brand and leadership position globally," the company said in a statement.
