Mphasis' Q4 profit up 46%

NEW DELHI: Mphasis, provider of infrastructure technology and applications outsourcing services, has posted a 45.55% rise increase in its net profit to Rs 177.69 crore in the quarter ended March 2015 as against Rs 122.08 crore in the year-ago period.

Its sales rose 38.76% to Rs 1,429.03 crore in the quarter ended March 2015 as against Rs 1,029.86 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2014.

For the whole financial year, the net profit rose 122.89% to Rs 674.64 crore in the year ended March 2015 compared to Rs 302.68 crore during the previous year ended March 2014. Sales rose 123.41% to Rs 5,794.81 crore in the year ended March 2015 as against Rs 2,593.83 crore during the previous year ended March 2014.

The direct business revenue grew 5.7% sequentially on a reported basis and 6.9% net of rupee appreciation in Q4 FY15. Direct organic revenue in mature markets grew 1.3% QoQ on a reported basis and 2.8% net of rupee appreciation.

"2015 was a year where we brought innovation, intensity and expertise together to win in Digital and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance).Our Digital Risk acquisition is getting traction and is shaping for growth. Our focus and strategy is to build on 2015 momentum and grow our direct business in newer areas” said Ganesh Ayyar, CEO, Mphasis.

Mphasis, which is majority owned by Hewlett-Packard, serves financial services, telecom, logistics, and technology industries.
