Micromax unveils Canvas 5 for Rs 11,999

NEW DELHI: Domestic handset maker Micromax has launched a new device in its Canvas series, the Micromax Canvas 5, for Rs 11,999.

The phone features a 5.2-inch Full-HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by 1.3 GHz Mediatek 6753 octa-core processor and 3GB DDR3 RAM. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and comes packed with a 2900 mAh non-removable battery.

It has 16GB of internal storage, which is further expandable by up-to 64GB via a microSD card. The smartphone is equipped with OTG functionality as well and has a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with phase detection auto focus technology. There are two LED flash lights in the back panel and the rear camera comes with 5P lens. On the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera with a LED flash light.

This smartphone has two SIM card slots one of which offers 4G connectivity while the other is compatible with 2G networks. The other connectivity options include WiFi, USB port and Bluetooth.
