NEW DELHI: Micromax has launched an android smartphone Canvas Pep Q371 at Rs 5,999 that will be available online and offline stores.
The dual sim smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA(480x854p) display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone has 1GB RAM, and comes with 4GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
The smartphone sports an 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP(VGA) front-facing camera.
The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and packs a 1700mAh battery delivering up to 210 hours of standby time.
For connectivity, the smartphone offers 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro-USB slot.
Micromax has a large portion of the budget smartphone market in a country where sub $100 phones account for most sales, according to a Canalys Report. The research further says that Delhi-based Micromax grew to 22% share of smartphone shipments in the last quarter of 2014 and the growth seems to be on the rise with the launch of such pocket-friendly Android devices.
