Micromax Canvas Series to get a Lollilop update

NEW DELHI: Domestic handset-maker Micromax has announced that it will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its popular Canvas series of smartphones.

The Canvas Xpress A99 smartphone will be the first device in the portfolio to receive the latest update.

"As a brand, we are committed to keeping our customers delighted with best in class technologies and experience. Riding on the same thought, we are rolling out the Android L update with Canvas Xpress, making the overall user experience more efficient and seamless," a company spokesperson said in a media statement.

Micromax said that the update will be rolled out via OTA (over the air).
