Lava launches new phone with 22 languages at just Rs 1500

NEW DELHI: Indian mobile handset maker Lava has launched a feature phone- KKT Ultra+ Union for Rs 1500 in country. The new phone can support over 22 vernacular languages.

With this, the users will be able to send and receive SMS in all 22 languages. Apart from English the other Indian languages include: Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

“It is company’s first feature phone in India and with such a wide range of languages it is a boost to Digital India,” the company claimed.

The device offers a big screen of 2.4 inch and comes with an in-built dual-SIM slot, with GSM operating frequency. It offers 1750 mAh Li-ion battery with talk time of 18hrs along with a VGA camera.

“KKT Ultra + Union is equipped with a hassle-free wireless FM support suited to the needs of music lovers along with an Audio/Video playback option enabled through a 3.5 mm Audio Jack. Moreover, with the dual charging facility, the phone can be charged with both a thin pin charger and a USB cable. The call features offer the options of hands free mode and auto redial as well. In terms of connectivity , the phone comes with Bluetooth functionality,” the company said.
