Lava expands its Iris series with X1 Atom

NEW DELHI: Domestic handset manufacturer Lava International has added an entry level device to its Iris series of Android smartphones, with the launch of Iris X1 Atom.

Iris X1 Atom runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and has a 5 MP PureCelTM rear camera with an LED flash. It comes with Android KitKat, 4.4 with a guaranteed upgrade to Android Lollipop, 5.0 through FOTA.

Iris X1 Atom has a 4-inch WVGA (480*800) display that offers 233 pixels per inch and 16.7 million colours. It packs in 512 RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via micro-SD card.

On the connectivity front, Iris X1 Atom supports 3G connectivity, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V2.1 and micro- USB v2.0. It supports MPEG4, H.263, H.264 Video codecs and has Full HD Video Playback option.
