Jio Garden is a joint initiative of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), and a gift to the city of Mumbai, which is starved of open spaces. Jio Garden will be a catalyst for bringing the community together by providing access to well-maintained green spaces.

Supporting the Chief Minister’s vision of developing Mumbai as a digitally-enabled Smart City, Jio Garden will offer best-in-class 4G-enabled services, driver lounges and public address and security systems. Built on 13,000 square meters, the exquisitely landscaped garden has one of the largest, multi-purpose, ‘non-toxic’ synthetic turf installations in Asia.

The integrated car parking facility has special access ramps for the differently-abled. Security of women users has been given special attention with a grid of CCTV cameras, besides alternate pillars sporting ‘panic buttons’ for use in emergencies.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and a host of dignitaries were present on the occasion.
