Jio crosses 100 million subscribers mark in 170 days

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Limited CMD Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (Jio) has crossed the 100 million customer mark in 170 days.

"Today, just 170 days since its launch, Jio has crossed the 100 million customer mark on its 4G LTE network," said Ambani.

"Jio has added, on average, nearly 7 customers on its network every second of every day," he added.

"Jio users consumed more than 100 crore GB of data per month on the Jio network! That's more than 3.3Cr GB a day," he said.

"Jio carries nearly 5.5 crore hours of video daily on its network," Ambnai said.

"Jio has more than double the number of 4G base stations when compared to all the other Indian operators put together," he said.

"With the Aadhaar-based process, initiating Mobile Number Portability has become a simple and fast process," he added.

"Jio was conceived to be a steadfast partner to India, and Indians, in our digital transformation," said Ambani.
