NEW DELHI: Intex Technologies has launched Android-based Aqua Star II smartphone, priced at Rs 5,999.
The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and features a 5-inch IPS display with full lamination technology.
Aqua Star II smartphone comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera and has an inbuilt memory of 8GB that can be expandable up to 32GB.
“The smartphone has a sensor technology, 1.2GHz quad core processor and an 8 megapixel camera amid other features that makes it a device that rightly stands for the youth of the nation,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies in a media statement.
The company is aggressively strengthening its operations in the country. It is investing Rs 500 crore to build a new smartphone plant in India in the next few years.
“We will invest Rs 350 crore to strengthen customer service and increase retail points, Rs 250 crore towards marketing, Rs 100 crore in R&D. We will also invest Rs 200 crore to increase our manufacturing capacity,” Keshav Bansal, director-marketing at Intex Technologies, had said.
