iBall introduces Windows-based 2-in-1 tablets

NEW DELHI: Home grown electronics company iBall has launched two Windows-based 2-in-1 tablets - iBall Slide WQ149i and WQ149R, priced at R 18,499 (Wi-Fi version) and 19,999 (3G version), respectively.

Both WQ149R and WQ149i are built with a 10.1-inch IPS capacitive multi-touch display and assembled with 1.83 GHz for Intel Atom processor.

The 10.1-inch tablet comes packed with free Microsoft Office 365 license and 1 TB (terabyte) OneDrive cloud storage for a year, the company in a statement said.

These devices come with 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, and a front 2 megapixel camera.

"In this era of Smartphones and Tablets, users need the hybrid combination giving them power to create and yet offering the easy mobility," Sandeep Parasrampuria- Director, iBall said.

Recently, IDC released a report, which said that iBall overtook Samsung in the Indian tablet market in terms of shipments in Q4 2014.

Samsung lost market share from Q4 2013 dropping from 17.9 percent to 12.9 percent. iBall rose from 4.5 percent share to 15.6 percent, the report said.
