Lampsite allows operators to exploit high degrees of co-ordination and functionality through macro cell baseband reuse – such as seamless handover, spectrum aggregation, centralized radio resource management and co-ordination, as well as operations management and service performance management.

LampSite is highly scalable due to its support of GSM/UMTS/LTE and Wi-Fi technologies within the same modular design without any changes required on the actual units installed on the building floors. The BBU can be shared across indoor and outdoor especially when the macro site is collocated with the LampSite in the same building; hence the capacity can be shared.

“Our LampSite Solution has been commercially deployed in more than 80 Countries already and we are confident that our solution will also contribute to Digital India mission and will be one of the key enablers for a better connected society. One of the Largest deployments of LampSite solution is the Bejing airport; which covers 1.4 Mn Sqm area and has more than 86 Mn Passenger traffic; which creates a very high user experience of passengers travelling,” the telecom giant said.
