ErosNow joins hands with Idea Cellular to provide bollywood content across 4G network

Eros International said that it has entered into a platform and content deal with telecom service provider Idea Cellular for its 4G users which has over 170 million subscriber base.

NEW DELHI: Kishore Lulla-led Eros International said that it  has entered into a platform and content deal with telecom service provider Idea Cellular for its 4G users which has over 170 million subscriber base.

This strategic partnership offers Idea 4G subscribers access to ErosNow’s premium bundled services including movies, music, TV content, ErosNow originals and a lot more.

Aditya Birla group-led Idea Cellular has recently launched 4G services across five southern states of India, and plans to expand to 750 towns in 10 service areas, by June 2016. The association with ErosNow, will enable Idea 4G customers in these markets to enjoy rich premium content from a wide library of Movies, originals and short form Videos, at a monthly subscription price of just Rs. 49. Idea is also offering a special subscription offer at just Rs. 29 per month for its new 4G customers till 31st March 2016,

With a subscriber base of 30 million plus consumers, ErosNow, offers a wide variety of Bollywood content namely movies like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Welcome Back, Shamitabh, Badlapur, NH10 along with a vast selection of audio and video songs, television content and ErosNow originals.

“ With the growing penetration of data services across India, content consumption is surging across consumers. ErosNow’s association with a leading telecom player like Idea provides us the ideal platform to reach a larger subscriber base and offer a very compelling array of Bollywood and regional content. This strategic association with Idea is the beginning of a long term relationship we intend to build in the future," said Rishika Lulla Singh, CEO, Eros Digital.

India’s 3rd largest telecom operator is also gearing to launch 4G LTE services by March 2016 in other key markets namely, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra & Goa, Punjab, Haryana, North East and Odisha, in a phased manner. By June 2016, Idea’s 4G footprint will cover 750 cities across 10 telecom circles.
