Here Comes Mobile World Congress!

The much-awaited digital journey Mobile World Congress has kick-started today in Barcelona, Spain.

Tech Gurus and executives are converging here for the next four days to showcase and see the wonders of technology. Meanwhile, India plans to highlight its 5G readiness and showcase service of application ecosystem.

"We want to position ourselves not as a recipient of 5G technology but active contributor of the 5G technology. Whether it is core network technology, all services of application ecosystem," Telecom Secretary Aruna Sundararajan had said.

As per media reports, “Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha, along with over 90 people from government and industry would be participating from India in this year’s MWC, making it the largest ever delegation from the country.”

The first day saw some big announcements from Samsung, HTC, Nokia and Huawei.

Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy S9 and S9+ and Huawei showcased its latest laptop, the MateBook X Pro.
