Optical fiber manufacturer Citadel sets up second manufacturing, engineering center at Mumbai

Citadel Intelligent Systems Ltd. (CIS), a Bangalore-based manufacturing company that provides fiber optic solutions, has inaugurated its second manufacturing unit and engineering center at Vasai, Mumbai.

The Vasai unit will be the second manufacturing base for CIS, after its first unit at Whitefield in Bengaluru. The announcement of its second unit of CIS comes within two years of its inception.

Speaking about the launch of the new facility at Vasai, K K Shetty, MD, CIS said, “With the new unit combined with geographical advantage and availability of skilled workforce, we are set to go all out and cater to the growing optical fiber requirements of the Indian and international markets. The engineering center will focus on designing customized products for telecom & infrastructure sector for India and rest of the world. While our Bangalore facility focuses on enterprise, hyperscale data center, aerospace & defense, our Mumbai facility will exclusively focus on providing end-to-end connectivity solutions in the telecom and infrastructure sector. The new unit will help us to improve our revenue significantly and scale up our capacity based on the market demand.”

Commenting on this initiative, Abhinandan Sharma, Sr. Vice President, CIS said, “Our new manufacturing unit is sprawled over 11,000 sq. ft., which will equip world-class and finest manufacturing setup with 40-50 employees initially. Backed by the new unit and engineering center, CIS will offer a wide range of quality and reliable optical fiber products and solutions for its customers in Telecom, Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), Infrastructure projects, Security & surveillance, and Smart city projects. The engineering team at Vasai is uniquely positioned to innovate world-class products by leveraging their vast experience and expertise in the field of fiber connectivity.”
