Cambium buys Xirrus Wi-Fi Networks to enhance enterprise wireless portfolio

Wireless networking solutions provider Cambium Networks has acquired Xirrus Wi-Fi products and cloud services from Riverbed Technology.

Through this acquisition, Cambium Networks will gain access to Xirrus' portfolio of enterprise Wi-Fi access points and subscription services. Xirrus' portfolio would enhance and accelerate Cambium's existing Network Service Application (NSA) capabilities and is expected to bring a set of new services and customer experience to our customers.

The Xirrus portfolio expands and enhances the existing Cambium Networks Wi-Fi portfolio to offer distributed enterprise, education, government, hospitality, and public venue customers, in addition to managed service providers, a choice of technologies in Cambium Networks’ wireless fabric portfolio of connectivity solutions.
