CA Technologies named 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Full Life Cycle API Management

NEW DELHI: NASDAQ-listed CA Technologies has been positioned by Gartner in the Leaders quadrant of the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Full Life Cycle API Management.

Gartner evaluates vendors based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. For this report, under ability to execute, Gartner segments full life cycle API management into five categories: planning, design and implementation, deploy and run (basic), deploy and run (advanced), versioning and retirement. CA achieved the highest position for ability to execute within the Leaders quadrant.

“Certainly the API economy is only just beginning to emerge, and the hype around it is still growing as digital strategies and the pervasive use of the Internet of Things (IoT) unfold. An organization's API strategy underpins its digital strategy — and is a sizable portion of it — so engaging with the API economy is an integral part of any digital strategy,” wrote Gartner Analysts Paolo Malinverno and Mark O’Neill, in the report.

CA says that its API management solutions improve API life cycle management processes, from planning, designing, integration and security, to testing, deployment, managing and monitoring. The portfolio offers a variety of API tools that allow enterprise stakeholders, including developers and enterprise architects, business managers and security professionals, to speed development while integrating, creating and securing APIs on the road to digitally transforming their businesses.
