BSNL takes on Jio: Launches MAHADHAMAKA Offer for Diwali 2018

As Diwali celebrations began a little early with  Jio Diwali Cashback offer, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) marches head on with its own series of festive offers for two newly launched prepaid plans, The Indian Express reports. These plans, according to the report, are priced at Rs. 1,699 and Rs 2,099 respectively and have the validity of 365 days.

These newly launched prepaid plans are available across all circles, including Delhi and Mumbai, the report by Indian Express states.

These plans might provide the BSNL subscribers with unlimited voice calls, including local/STD and roaming, as well as free personalised ring back tone (PRBT) and 100 free SMS per day. While, with the Rs. 1,699 plan, the prepaid users will get 3GB data per day, for total plan benefits of 1095GB 4G/3G/2G data, with the Rs. 2,099 Diwali Mahadhamaka offer, they’ll get 1460GB of data benefits, with no daily limit. The report also said that in any case BSNL will offer post FUP speeds of 128Kbps for both offers.

The state owned telecom operator is not leaving the field as the battle between major players in the telecom market continues with the entry of Jio recently. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will be challenging Jio with this offer as the new plan by Reliance Jio is also priced at Rs.1,699. Both of these plans will be compared in the terms of data, free calling and other benefits.
