Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services have been made available to BSNL users in Tamil Nadu. IPTV can be defined as an innovative method of streaming TV channels over the internet.

In order to offer additional value to both current and potential FTTH (Fibre to the House) customers, BSNL has launched IPTV services in collaboration with M/s E2 Info Solutions, a pan-Indian IPTV service provider as per a report by The Hindu.

In January 2023, BSNL's Andhra Pradesh Circle subscribers were the first to hear about IPTV Services. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with City Online Media and the services will be offered under the Ulka TV brand as part of the growth plans to change households with IPTV services. With the help of Bharat Fibre, BSNL already provides fibre-optic internet services. With its IPTV offerings, the telco hopes to revolutionize homes.

Users of the service will not be charged by BSNL for using IPTV on FFTH data plans. All current and potential customers may use BSNL's IPTV services, and as of right now, as many as 3 packages in various price ranges are provided to fibre broadband customers.

Customers in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala can register for new IPTV services, according to the website. In February this year, BSNL Thiruvananthapuram also revealed that BSNL will offer IPTV services over fibre for Rs 130 per month. There are two plans for HD Packs; Starter at Rs 270 with 211 TV channels and Bonanza at Rs 400 with 223 TV Channels.

Current BSNL FTTH customers can make reservations for IPTV services by accessing "fms.bsnl.in/iptvreg", contacting authorised BSNL franchisees or sales representatives, or using the link supplied to them through SMS from BSNL.
