Blackberry launches 'Leap' in India at Rs 21,490

NEW DELHI: Waterloo-based handset maker BlackBerry has launched the successor of its Z3 smartphone, Leap, in India and it is priced at Rs 21,490.

The phone features a 5-inch HD screen and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM 8960 processor with 2GB RAM.

The BlackBerry Leap has 16GB storage with micro-SD support for up to 128GB. It has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2800 mAH non-removable lithium ion battery.

The phone runs the latest BlackBerry 10 operating system with a battery that runs for 25 hours.

The device comes equipped with support for encryption, built-in malware protection and back-up, wipe and restore. It also comes with BlackBerry Blend, which allows users to bring messages and content on the BlackBerry smartphone to their computers and tablets.

The smartphone supports two app stores - BlackBerry World and the Amazon Appstore.
