Bi Yunfeng appointed to head Huawei’s India R&D center

Huawei has appointed Bi Yunfeng (Isaac) as the new Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., the company’s first and largest overseas R&D center, focused on developing software for end-to-end telecom solutions, IT & Cloud solutions, consumer devices, as well as providing professional services for global operators.

Isaac has complete management responsibility, delivering on the company’s vision and developing its long-term strategic and growth plans for India. He is responsible for leading the R&D center’s growth and competitiveness in new business areas, and enhancing Huawei Technologies India’s position as one of the most competitive R&D centers of Huawei. His mission includes strengthening the research and development capabilities of the Center, establishing leadership in open source development & community contribution, and collaborating with the industry ecosystem to deliver competitive ICT solutions to customers all over the world.

Isaac joined Huawei in 2001 as an Engineer, and in his 18 years’ career with Huawei, he steadily grew to lead large development teams across various product lines including Access Network, Fixed Network and Storage. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Sichuan University.

Isaac succeeds Mr. William Zhao, who has taken up a leadership role Software Engineering in Huawei’s Consumer Business Group in Shenzhen, China.
