Bharti Airtel Makes Upgrades to its Corporate and Retail Postpaid Plans

Bharti Airtel today announced new postpaid plans for Corporate and Retail customers as it seeks to drive ARPU by postpaid customers.

Bharti Airtel today announced new postpaid plans for Corporate and Retail customers. After introducing Airtel Black, which also had postpaid mobile plans included, this move will also work towards improving the telco's ARPU.

In a statement, Bharti Airtel said that it has further simplified its retail and corporate postpaid plans. The telco also said that its plans bring "exclusive benefits", which include bundled content and business tools.

The telco had said that these changed plans will be applicable from the user's next billing cycle.

Ajay Chitkara, Director and CEO - Airtel Business said, "over the past few years, Airtel has made massive investments in spectrum, infrastructure and latest technologies to build a 5G ready and secure network that can support the digital transformation journeys of our customers. Our new Postpaid plans offer a holistic connectivity solution along with industry leading benefits to meet the productivity requirements of our customers in the post pandemic world."

These plans range from ₹299 all the way to ₹1,599 per month. All of these plans come with unlimited calling, business tools such as Airtel Call Manager, Google Workspace and so on. These plans are:

  • ₹299 Plan: This plan comes with 30 GB data per month, along with unlimited calls. Airtel has also bundled in Airtel Call Manager, and access to Wynk Music, Airtel XStream Premium and Shaw Academy for 1 year each.
  • ₹349 Plan: This plan comes with similar features as are included in the pack above. The only difference here is that this pack bundles in 40 GB data.
  • ₹399 Plan: This is the cheapest plan to include tools such as Tracemate and Google Workspace, along with Airtel Call Manager. This plan also gives users 60 GB data. Further, users get access to Wynk Music, Airtel XStream Premium and Shaw Academy for 1 year each.
  • ₹499 Plan: This is the first plan that includes OTT subscriptions such as Amazon Prime and Disney+Hotstar VIP for 1 year each. This plan also includes value-added Airtel services such as VIP Support and Airtel Secure. Also, this plan retains the OTT and business tools benefits from the previous plans, along with 100 GB data.
  • ₹1,599 Plan: This is the most expensive corporate postpaid plan offered by Airtel. This plan offers 500 GB data per month to the user, along with all the benefits of the previous plan.

Airtel’s New Retail Postpaid Plans

The telco said that it has "refreshed its Family Postpaid plans". These plans are detailed as follows:

  • ₹399 Plan: This plan is applicable for one connection only, and provides 40 GB data and unlimited calling. Along with this, the plan also bundles in access to Wynk Music, Airtel XStream Premium and Shaw Academy for 1 year each.
  • ₹499 Plan: This plan that includes Amazon Prime and Disney+Hotstar VIP subscriptions for 1 year each. Valid for only one connection, this plan also gives 75 GB data and unlimited calls to the user. The plan also retains other benefits from the previous plan.
  • ₹999 Plan: This plan includes 3 total connections, with 1 main connection and 2 add-ons. The users get a total of 210 GB data, with the primary connection getting 150 GB and the add-ons getting 30 GB each. This plan also offers the same OTT benefits as the previous plan.
  • ₹1,599 Plan: The most expensive retail plan on offer, this plan offers unlimited data and calling to its users. This plan also has two connections, which are of the same value. The plan also offers the same OTT benefits.

Along with these plans, users can avail an add-on connection for ₹299 per connection. The add-on connection will get 30 GB monthly data, and access to Wynk Music, Airtel XStream Premium and Shaw Academy for 1 year each.

These modifications are being widely regarded as an exercise to increase the ARPU of the telco.
