Auto Expo 2020: Jio shows prowess in AI, telematics and connected car technology

This year the Auto Expo -  the marquee automobile event in India - has witnessed some rare sights and forays. What captured the global eyes was the exhibit by Reliance Jio. Jio has exhibited an on-board diagnostics (OBD) compatible telematics device at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020 show in Greater Noida.

At the Expo, India's industrial conglomerate run digital communications division Jio has showcased use cases that demonstrate the role of connectivity, network, and technology for connected vehicles of the future.

Automotive Industry is accelerating towards a new era of technology and connectivity where customer experience is not just driven by superior mechanics, but also through technologies like AI and telematics. As an enabler of digital adoption across industries, including the automobile sector, Jio says the company has been working on new technologies to redefine the customer experience.

Jio also admits that the use cases for the automobile industry are an illustration of its capabilities to create secure and scalable IoT solutions, which could help drive the digital transformation of industries.
