BENGALURU: Globally located application delivery networking company Array Networks Inc has launched its virtual SSL VPN Secure Access Gateway (vxAG) in Amazon Web Services Marketplace (AWS Marketplace). AWS is an online software store that streamlines the procurement process for customers looking to find, buy, and immediately start using software and services that run on AWS.

Explaining the product, Array indicated that with increasing mobility, growing adoption of cloud services and a shift in thinking that emphasizes securing data in addition to securing networks and devices, modern enterprises require a new breed of remote and mobile access solutions.

The Array virtual vxAG on AWS centralizes control over access to applications, desktops, files, networks and Web sites from a broad range of remote and mobile devices - providing connection, end-point and server-side security for business-critical applications running on AWS while at the same time increasing productivity for employees, partners, customers and other communities of interest.

The company says that as the Array vxAG SSL VPN runs natively on AWS, all that is required for activation is to select and purchase the vxAG within AWS Marketplace and apply a license purchased from Array (BYOL). For businesses that are deploying either all or a significant portion of their application infrastructure on AWS, the ability to securely access infrastructure resources for remote management is becoming increasingly important. Array's vxAG provides a means to cost-effectively implement either primary or redundant remote and mobile access from authorized users to authorized AWS infrastructure from any device, anywhere.

“Businesses look to AWS to support their IT infrastructure requirements; however, moving resources out of the enterprise and onto the cloud creates the need for highly secure and highly robust secure remote and mobile access,” said Paul Andersen, Director of Marketing at Array Networks. "With the vxAG on AWS, we are meeting our customers' evolving cloud requirements and broadening Array's secure access portfolio while continuing to keep an emphasis on securing corporate data and limiting network exposure.”
