Airtel’s 5G service is now available in over 150 cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Bharti Airtel has firmly established its dominance in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. With more than 3.2 crore (32.4 million) wireless subscribers, Airtel is still the top option for clients in the two southern states. According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data as of March 31.
Bharti Airtel had also, announced last month that it has surpassed the 2 million unique 5G user mark on its network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Airtel was the first to roll-out 5G in the country and Hyderabad was one of the first eight cities to get ultrafast Airtel 5G Plus. Now Airtel’s 5G service is available in over 150 cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Vijaywada, Vizag, Tirupathi, Anantapur, Nizamabad, Khammam, Nellore, Guntur, Rajahmundry, Amadalavalasa, Chodavaram, Asifabad are among the cities and rural towns to have benefited in the two Telugu speaking states. The 5G service already connects the entire corridor of Hyderabad Metro Rail, all the railway stations, bus terminals, highways and important business hubs.
As of March 31, 2023, the most recent TRAI wireless subscriber database indicates that Airtel has more over 3.2 crore (32,404,916) wireless users in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. Airtel's persistent efforts have paid off, as it surpassed all other telecom companies in March 2023 with the highest customer additions of 22,087. With an incredible 99.97% of active subscribers registered in the same month, Airtel also has the highest VLR (active subscriber base) in the area. Vi, however, has lost 121,856 subscribers over the same time frame.
