NEW DELHI : India’s top telecom service provider Bharti Airtel said that it has commenced the implementation of its network transformation program “Project Leap” in Andhra Pradesh (AP) and  Telangana Circle.

“Aimed at perceptibly improving network quality and delivering the best customer experience, Airtel recently announced an investment of Rs. 60,000 crore across the country towards this strategic project in the next 3 years,” the companys aid in astatement.

“The investment in this region would largely be towards upgrading and modernizing its network, expanding the mobile broadband network to rural areas and laying optical fibre both locally and internationally. With this, we look forward to delivering the best experience for our customers now and for years to come," said Venkatesh Vijayraghavan, Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Bharti Airtel.

"This investment of Rs.60, 000 crores in the country is over and above the Rs. 1, 60,000 crores Airtel has already invested in its active and passive network, spectrum, fiber, submarine cables and systems till date. This ambitious program makes the Airtel investment one of the largest by a private sector company in India," claimed by telco.
