Airtel comes up with new introductory unlimited data offer for 5G customers

Airtel's introductory, unlimited 5G data offer will be available to all postpaid as well as prepaid consumers with data plans costing Rs 239 or above.

One of India's leading telecommunications service provider Bharti Airtel has unveiled an offer for its clients that includes unlimited 5G data. This project aims to encourage users to discover the Airtel 5G Plus network's capabilities.

The telecom behemoth claims that since it has removed the data consumption cap from all current plans, users can now take advantage of superfast, dependable, and safe 5G Plus service experience without worrying about running out of data capacity.

Airtel's introductory, unlimited 5G data offer will be available to all postpaid as well as prepaid consumers with data plans costing Rs 239 or above. Airtel customers in more than 270 cities nationwide can now avail Airtel 5G Plus service. The only requirements are having a 5G-enabled device and being close to a 5G network location.

All you need to is simply log on to the Airtel Thanks App (https://www.airtel.in/airtel-thanks-app) to claim the offer.

Commenting on the launch, Shashwat Sharma, Director Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel said, “We are obsessed with delighting our customers with best-in-class products and services. This introductory offer is in line with the philosophy of wanting our customers to be able to surf, stream, chat and enjoy multiple benefits at blazing speeds without having to worry about data limits. We hope our customers enjoy the power of world-class Airtel 5G Plus."

Bharti Airtel has very recently raised the prepaid entry-level tariffs in the remaining three circles, Gujarat, Kolkata and Madhya Pradesh. With this hike, all 22 circles have now replaced the base plan of Rs 99 with Rs 155 being the base tariff.

In an effort to raise its average income per subscriber, Bharti Airtel raised the minimum tariff by a staggering 56% from Rs 99 to Rs 155 in November last year for 2 circles then imposed the same in 15 other circles towards the end of January this year.

Airtel also recently declared that the number of unique users on its 5G network has topped 10 million. It acquired 1 million distinct 5G users on its network in November last year, making it the country’s singular operator to do so. 5G technology was introduced in the country on October 1st, 2022 during the IMC last year. Airtel 5G Plus is now accessible in various cities of every state nationwide.

All of Airtel’s retail locations nationwide now have 5G experience zones set up. The telco said that it has taken the initiative to make the new technology easier to understand for users and enable them to fully appreciate the benefits of 5G. All of the 1000+ stores will have specially trained executives who will not only demonstrate use cases but will also answer any concerns about 5G in addition to discussing Airtel’s own offers.
