When it comes to 4G services, Private telecom operators in India have been winning the race for quite some time now. The state-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is yet to enroll it’s 4G services completely. Therefore, the government-run PSU has reached Gandhidham and Anjar town in Gujarat state with its 4G testing services, according to a report by MySmartPrice.

As per the report, the telco is offering free 4G SIM and an additional 2GB data for those upgrading to the network’s 4G services. The report says that even though, the 2100MHz band is been allowed for the spectrum allotment, BSNL is still testing its 4G operations on the current spectrum. This spectrum by BSNL is used to provide 3G services to its customers and is yet to be allocated for the telecom operator’s 4G network, says the report. After the reassignment, the report says, 3G services will be stopped gradually while the 2G and 4G will work.

BSNL users who wish to upgrade their SIM can go to any BSNL office in the area and get a 4G SIM. Also, they will get 2GB data upon activation.
