DWDM device is said to support seven network applications as the prototype provides high bandwidth efficiency. The device has a multi-subcarrier Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing 400G/1T solution for ultra-long-haul applications. It also is a 16 quadrature amplitude modulation solution for metro and local applications with an industry highest bandwidth utilization rate.

"ZTE's 100G DWDM/ optical transport network (OTN) system supports C-band 80-wavelength applications, standard PM-QPSK code pattern adjustment and coherent detection. It also uses an industry leading advanced soft decision forward error correction technology and provides the industry's strongest 100G transport capability," said a statement.

ZTE Bearer Network Product Line General Manager Chen Yufei said, "ZTE is a world-leading provider of next-generation bearer network solutions, devices and services. ZTE launched the industry's first full-range of 100G bearing solutions in 2010, providing 100G products ranging from switches and routers to WDM OTN equipment and end-to-end solutions from edge layer to core layer."
