Smart-pipes, mobile devices, cloud-based services, and big data infrastructure systems will be ZTE’s key
focus areas for innovation as part of its new ICT strategy.
At the ZTE Global Analysts Conference in Shanghai, it launched its ICT strategy--New Enabler@M-ICT strategy in order to help consumers and businesses globally to access information and applications.
The strategy synthesizes ZTE’s assets in telecommunications, enterprise ICT and terminal devices to generate greater value for customers and partners in the Mobile-ICT era.
“The Mobile-ICT era represents a big opportunity for ZTE, as we leverage our strengths in telecommunications, enterprise ICT and terminal devices to drive innovations that will enable consumers and businesses globally to access information and applications more dynamically than ever before,” said Zhao Xianming, Chief Technology Officer at ZTE.
Under the company’s Enabler@M-ICT strategy, ZTE claims it would deliver the industry’s highest-performance smart-pipe infrastructures and systems, driving innovations in core bearer networks and access networks.
In addition, ZTE is aggressively developing technologies for cloud-based services systems such as IPTV and Smart City, as well as data center, storage, virtualization and other big data infrastructure solutions.
In terminal devices, ZTE will build smartphones and devices for consumers globally and claims to offer superior user experience and performance to consumers.
ZTE’s new organizational structure will enable it to implement the Enabler@Mobile-ICT strategy. The company has recently reorganized its operations into three primary business groups and divisions: Operator Solutions, Enterprise Business and Mobile Devices.
ZTE’s Operator Solutions Business Group serves the larger-sized markets and geographic regions.
The company will focus on growing its offerings in services to generate increased value and profitability in the Operator Solutions business.
ZTE Enterprise Business will primarily offer solutions to key target industry verticals including transportation, energy, public utilities, financial and Internet.
