NEW DELHI: Tegic Communications, a unit of AOL's wireless division, has
announced the availability of its XT9 mobile interface in India.
XT9 is a multi-modal user interface solution for smart phones and advanced
mobile devices. The XT9 mobile interface features include next word prediction,
support for any input method, including hard and soft keys, and even
handwriting, regional error correction, word order preference, smart punctuation
and auto-accenting and user database of words.
The company go-to-market strategy includes working with carriers for
specifications and creating awareness and education among end users on XT9. The
company also plans to work with regional original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
to bring in T9 devices in India.
The XT9 Mobile Interface is now available for manufacturers of mobile and
electronic devices to license and integrate into upcoming models.
