British research firm pawnbroker Borro surveyed 4000 women living in Australia and found that 4 out of 10 women will value mobile phones more than their boyfriends. The study also said that majority of women will be 'devastated' to lose their mobile phones than to split their boyfriends.
A third of respondents said that they can easily live the women were asked whether they would dump their boyfriends for money, a large chunk said they would consider doing so if offered more than USD one million in cash.
Nonetheless, in the most treasures possessions of girls, boys managed to score better than diamond rings, pets, laptops and hair straighteners. Other possession followed that came after mobile phone were the photographs.
CEO of Borro, Paul Aitken admitted that the survey results were surprising, He added, "mobile phone keeps women connected and it's always by their side.”
The reason behind this change of focus for women is quite easy to guess. With the mobile phones becoming a very personalized gadget that is redefining individuality. It was time ago that when mobile phones use to be the infancy, heavy device. The technical upgradations that have happened in the last decade have made this communication device another asset for a common man. It is worth mentioning that applications like social networking, short message service made mobile phones to achieve another level of perfection.
Google's android and smart phones are upthrusting mobile phones market. With the plethora of diverseness and usability that mobile phones have got, the mobile market is certainly hot. The pawnbroker Borro survey has further strengthened its possessive significance in the women's world.
As the survey also found that photographs are also other close treasured possession before mobile phones. With the camera enabled mobile phones, this need of women have also converged into their obsession with mobile phones.
