Wind River selected by Fujitsu for Android Testing

Wind River, a US based company dealing in embedded systems has announced that Fujitsu, a Japnese IT equipment firm is using its framework for Automated Software Testing (FAST) to test its next-generation Android smartphones for software quality, performance and compliance.

The company's fully automated software testing solution ''Wind River FAST'', for Android based devices facilitates lower testing costs and faster time-to-market for device manufacturers, said the company.

''By automating the extensive testing process using our commercial-quality test solution, companies can deliver high-quality products in the shortest time frame while adhering to their budgets,'' said Jerry Ashford, VP and GM of mobile solutions, Wind River.

The solution is currently in use to test the next generation of Fujitsu smartphones.The devices being tested are planned to be available in the Japanese market later this year.
