Wilco International Systems, a UK-based financial services transaction processing systems and enterprise application integration provider which has a development center in Hyderabad, would be ramping up its BPO operations in Hyderabad in coming months. "BPO is going to be the largest growth area for Wilco in Hyderabad as we are going to increase our focus into this activity," said, Donal O'Brien, co-chief technology officer at
Wilco.
Wilco, a subsidiary of the $ six billion Automatic Data Processing, Inc. of the US, would be increasing its BPO workforce from the current 40 to 100 this year. "The Hyderabad center, which has 330 employees, is playing a critical role in the development of Wilco's products for the financial services. Wilco's dedicated Securities Data Management Group is also based here. And now, we would like to see more products and work being shifted to Hyderabad operations," O'Brien added.
"The skilled manpower available in Hyderabad has encouraged us to step up our BPO operations here. We are in the high-end of the BPO space, focusing on the financial transaction processing segment and finding the right talent is always difficult for us, but in Hyderabad we have been able to find and cultivate talent for our operations," he said. Wilco provides transaction processing services, hardware maintenance, backup, data management, round-the-clock support and disaster recovery facilities for its worldwide clients. "We have a Java and parallel processing based product for the corporate market - UPM Corporate Actions, soon we are going to shift some of the product's operations to our Hyderabad center," he added.
