How was the separation with Motorola Inc dealt with in terms of new strategy of operation and business?
Separation gave us increased strategic flexibility, management, and operational focus for greater clarity of purpose, which is 'to help people be their best in the moments that matter'. It also positioned us for success, with the flexibility to invest in infrastructure and technology, and $1 bn in R&D annually to maintain position, growth, and leadership, including realizing the visions of next-generation public safety and next-generation enterprise.
For our customers, we expanded professional, integration, managed services, and support offerings so that our customers can focus on their core missions. We have also divested the networks and wireless broadband businesses and made strategic acquisitions such as RhoMobile and Psion, allowing Motorola Solutions to further entrench ourselves in the enterprise space.

Motorola Solutions has been in India since 1987 and is headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana. We also have offices in Bengaluru (R&D team focused on enterprise technologies, two-way radio warehouse); and sales representation in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.

In partnership with HCL Infosystem, Motorola Solutions rolled out the country's first digital TETRA based Government Radio Network (GRN), a data and voice communication rich network for multiple government agencies to collaborate and work in an integrated manner over a single network.
