Under the umbrella of "Global Digital Innovation," IMC 2023 will examine cutting-edge subjects like 6G, improvements in 5G networks, telecoms AI, edge computing, Industry 4.0, and the rise of India Stack. Through strategic alliances with numerous groups, the event also hopes to expand its reach by including allied technical fields like Broadcast, Sat-Com, Manufacturing, and Semiconductors.

The seventh edition of Asia’s premier digital technology exhibition, India Mobile Congress (IMC), co-hosted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) will be held from 27th – 29th October at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi this year.

The IMC 2023 event is expected to witness around 1,00,000 Plus participants, 5,000 Plus CXO-level delegates, 350 Plus speakers, and 400 Plus exhibitors.

With policy backing from the government under the production linked incentive or PLI scheme, Telecom and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urged the telecom industry to double its current level of telecom manufacturing efforts of 18000 crore while speaking at the curtain raiser for IMC 2023.

"Telecom manufacturing worth Rs 18000 crore has already taken place under the PLI programme. When you scale up to 4x, 5x, or 10x, the government will back your policy. Make India a global leader in technology, let's make India a technology powerhouse," he said

He further emphasized the need of involving nearly 100 universities including various IIT's and inviting students, especially from the 5G use cases lab, to expose them to the most recent developments in the telecom business. He also urged to involve foreign nations as partner countries and make sure that the speeches and communication is foreigner friendly, making it easily understandable.

In addition, the minister emphasized the importance of emerging industries like EV, not just cars but all EV related technologies including the complex things in power electronics, consumer electronics, deep technology, cable communications, and consumer cyber technology. He stressed the necessity of facilitating knowledge exchange through workshops and conversations so that attendees may get knowledge from subject-matter experts where the importance is given to various technologies including NavIC, UPI, 5G roll-out, indigenous 5G stacks among others.

Additionally, "Aspire," a massive Start-Up event focused at spurring future entrepreneurial growth among young innovators and industry professionals in the telecom and digital domains, will be unveiled at IMC 2023. The event will include areas for networking, pitching, workshops, and investors, offering a wide-ranging platform for creativity and cooperation.
