VSNL Acquires DishnetDSL at Rs 270 crore

Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) has announced signing an agreement with Dishnet to takeover its ISP division for Rs 270 crore. The deal includes the acquisition of all Internet assets, employees, and customers. 

VSNL can now cover dial-up services in 20 additional locations, above VSNL's existing 30 locations of operation. The deal also gives VSNL broadband assets having capacity to serve more than 50,000 customers in key cities in the country. Also, VSNL has acquired 600 plus cyber cafes of Dishnet.
