Vodafone launches roaming packs for post-paid, pre-paid customers

Vodafone India has launched its new international roaming packs for both post-paid and pre-paid customers travelling abroad.The international roaming packs are available for a rental of Rs 599 and Rs 1,499 and come with a validity of 10 and 30 days, respectively.

"For the list of applicable countries and networks, a subscriber needs to SMS Packcountry to 111. To activate the pack of their choice, Vodafone subscribers only need to SMS ACTRupee1 for the Rs 599 pack and ACTRupee 2 for the Rs 1,499 pack," the company said in its statement.

"With these new international roaming packs, we are offering unmatched value, convenience, and huge savings to our customer segment that travels abroad for both leisure and business. No matter which part of the world they travel to, our customers will continue to enjoy the same enriching Vodafone experience to remain closely connected with their loved ones and work back home in India," said Vivek Mathur, CCO, Vodafone India.

Covering 53 countries, including popular business and tourist destinations such as UK, USA, UAE, Thailand, and Singapore, these comprehensive packs offer 95% discount on data and up to 78% discount on outgoing local and international calls as compared with prevailing rates.

The rental charges for the plan taken will feature in the next billing cycle for post-paid customers. Pre-paid customers can avail these offers through recharge vouchers of Rs 673 and Rs 1,684, respectively.

In additions, with rates as low as Rs 30/MB for data download while roaming overseas, the packs offer 95% discount on prevailing rates. Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at Rs 15/min and Rs 30/min, respectively, a discount of almost 78% over prevailing rates. Incoming calls will cost Rs 30/min (over 50% discount on prevailing rates). The Rs 1,499 plan in additional offers 30minutes of free incoming calls.
